I was born in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. My family had been forced to flee our home in Palestine during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. We lived in the camp for years, in a small, cramped tent. The conditions were harsh, but we made the best of it.

I went to school in the camp and learned about the history of Palestine. I learned about the Nakba, or "catastrophe," when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forced to flee their homes. I learned about the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the daily hardships that Palestinians faced.

When I was 16 years old, I was arrested by the Israeli army. I was held in prison for two years, without charge or trial. During that time, I was tortured and abused. But I never gave up hope.

After I was released from prison, I continued to work for the rights of the Palestinian people. I became a journalist and wrote about the Israeli occupation and the plight of the Palestinian refugees. I also helped to organize protests and demonstrations.

In 2002, I was forced to flee the Gaza Strip after my life was threatened. I came to the United States, where I now live in exile. But I continue to work for the rights of the Palestinian people.

My Life As Palestinian Refugee is a powerful and moving memoir that chronicles my experiences as a Palestinian refugee. The book offers a unique perspective on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the human cost of war. It is a story of loss, hope, and resilience.
