Elizabeth Cady Stanton Iran Never Again: The True Story Of The Woman Who Fought For Women S Rights

Elizabeth Cady Stanton was an American suffragist, abolitionist, and social activist who played a leading role in the women's rights movement. She was a co-founder of the National Woman Suffrage Association and the author of The Woman's Bible, a feminist interpretation of the Bible.

Stanton was born on November 12, 1815, in Johnstown, New York. Her father, Daniel Cady, was a lawyer and judge, and her mother, Margaret Livingston Cady, was a devout Presbyterian. Stanton was raised in a strict religious environment, but she began to question the traditional roles assigned to women.

In 1840, Stanton married Henry Brewster Stanton, a journalist and abolitionist. The couple had seven children. Stanton continued to be active in the women's rights movement after her marriage, and she and her husband were both involved in the abolitionist movement.

In 1848, Stanton and Lucretia Mott organized the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York. The convention issued a Declaration of Sentiments that called for women's suffrage, the right to own property, and the right to education.

Stanton was a leading figure in the women's rights movement for the rest of her life. She spoke out against the discrimination that women faced in law, education, and employment. She also wrote extensively about women's rights, and her work helped to shape the movement's goals and strategies.

Stanton died on October 26, 1902, in New York City. She was 86 years old. She is remembered as one of the most important figures in the women's rights movement.

Stanton's legacy is still felt today. The women's rights movement has made great progress since her time, but there is still much work to be done. Stanton's work continues to inspire women and men who are fighting for equality.

The True Story of the Woman Who Fought for Women's Rights is a gripping and inspiring account of Stanton's life and work. It is a must-read for anyone who is interested in the history of women's rights or in the fight for equality.
